Erin Raden to Lead State’s Largest Child Care Organization
Phoenix–Oct. 23, 2013– Erin Raden has joined The Arizona Child Care Association (ACCA) as the organization’s new Executive Director. As Executive Director, Raden will lead and manage Arizona’s largest association of private licensed for profit and nonprofit child care centers.
“ACCA’s membership reflects the great diversity of Arizona, including faith-based organizations, independent businesses, community based nonprofit organizations, multi-site businesses and national companies. I’m honored to represent such a well-respected industry that provides a crucial service to families and makes an important impact on Arizona’s economy,” Raden said.
James Emch, volunteer President of the ACCA, said “Erin is well suited to our Association, and has the ideal skillset to advance the issues and address the challenges facing licensed child care in Arizona; her extensive experience and knowledge will be a major asset to our association.
After serving in Washington, DC as a Legislative Analyst for the Executive Office of the President, Raden returned to Arizona to be the Director of Government and Public Affairs for the Arizona Dental Association. Later, Raden was the Executive Director of the Arizona Meth Project, and most recently, as Community Engagement Director for the Arizona Department of Economic Security’s Office of Faith and Community, Raden worked as a liaison between DES and their various nonprofit, municipal, and business partners to develop, implement and refine an enterprise approach for engaging the community in service to socially and economically challenged Arizonans.
